Just me saying "the nicest country club in Gastonia" is a bit of a oxymoron to most who live around...but it is an extremely nice upscale area. They actually have a guard who checks every car, which will make it even that much more of a hassle. There are million dollar houses in the are too.

Memorial at the nicest country club in the area!
by Burger Time inmy brother informed me over the weekend that in gastonia nc the memorial for their congregation is going to be held at the nicest country club in gastonia.
in fact a lot of local celebrities live there including sherry from the nationally syndicated radio show bob & sherry.
a good bit of people are upset at this, as it's out of the way and a bit hard to find.

At least it will be better then sitting in the stuffy boring K.H.

What would really be awesome is to reproduce the whole nine yards and send it to a good amount of congregations so it gets read at congregations! How incredible would that be?

I've always wondered how a little Vietnamese boy is able to explain to two English speaking people that his parents were JWs?

TV progams that must be not be viewed at all costs
by TooBad TooSad inthe elder giving the public talk a couple of weeks ago told the congregation that there are more and more.
movies and tv programs, like charmed, or books and movies like harry potter that must be avoided at all costs.
because they are a direct link to demonism and spiritism.

When I was young NYPD Blue was said to be a show that you could not watch! Franz's ass scared all the JWs I guess. That new Fox show coming on after Family Guy should not be watched either. You take away Arrested Development for this??

Blowing "BLOODGUILT" out of the water. Logically.
by Open mind infor any lurkers who doubt that the wt does not use guilt & fear as key motivators consider the term "bloodguilt" as used in last sunday's wt.
in the very first paragraph it was mentioned that "failure to assume the responsibility of warning people of the choice that lies before them could result in our incurring bloodguilt.".
wt: "if you don't preach, you're gonna die.".

I think the bigger issue here is why are these people dying because of you? Didn't Jesus say the one who stumbles is worse off the one who stumbled? So if it is you who is guilty, then by default the other person would not be guilty and therefore would not loose their life at Armageddon! Boo ya!

Old Tobacco Barns
by Undecided inwhere i live in nc near va there are so many old barns left from the days of tobacco growing.
when i was a child almost all the country people raised tobacco to make a living and would cure the tobacco in these barns.
out on the old country roads there are barns everywhere.

Ah yes you can still find a lot of old barns in my parents neck of the woods in Kings Mountain...not sure if they were used for Tobacco though. Also out near my parents house in the woods there are a track of old homes (1800's) where a popular wagon trail went through. It's amazing! We even found a newspaper from the early 1960's almost perfectly intact!!

Freemasons...who are you?
by feenx ini saw in a different post there was a discussion about jw's being linked to freemasons.
one poster replied that they were a mason and they know for sure there's no link.
that got me to thinking...i've never had any contact with an actual mason.

Uzzah is it true your part of the trilateral commission New World Order Jedi mind cult that wants to steal my soul and sell it so you can over take Washington D.C. then the world so that you can have total control over every person on the planet all the while amassing gold, silver, copper, oil, sunlight, cars, trucks, mailboxes and everything else all to fulfill your evil plans?

Uh......OK. People like to be part of special organizations, that's the bottom line. I think with both the Masons and JW's there is no grand conspiracy to take over the world and in fact both are totally different outside of doing things people on the outside have little knowledge of. Oh and Jaguar basses suck, seriously. Mass produced pieces of crap, give me an old school P-Bass any day.
